The Supporting Student Success surveys are currently in the field. Faculty and student affairs and services staff from fourteen colleges and universities from across Canada have recently received an invitation to complete the 20-minute web survey. In the past two years, 25 institutions from 8 provinces and 1 territory have been part of the study.
Faculty and staff are asked to share how they and their institution support student success. The survey asks participants how they learn about programs and services to support student success, the extent to which they refer students to campus resources, how they engage and partner with other faculty and staff across campus to support student success, and how they perceive their institution’s retention efforts. Examples of the surveys used in the study are available under the “Study Overview” tab.
We are excited and encouraged by the response to the survey in the past week and look forward to additional responses as they come in over the course of the next month. If you have received an invitation to participate in the survey, we sincerely hope you will consider sharing your perspective. If you have already completed the survey, we thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.
Findings from the research study will be used to help institutions identify opportunities to enhance how they support students in reaching their academic and personal goals.
